A Note From Our Founder
Welcome to SES! My name is Terri Proctor and I founded this organization in the fall of 2023 to address the ongoing scams that are targeting the elderly. For over a year now my elderly mother has been the victim of numerous social media scams. What started out as a way to connect with her friends on Facebook turned into a nightmare of manipulation to steal money from my mother. In the past year I contacted so many different people for assistance and was told she is a willing participant. I did hear so many stories of innocent victims that fell into the same trap. I really had nowhere to turn, my goal is to educate and create a community to share information without judgement or embarrassment so that we can protect ourselves and our loved ones.
At SES, our mission is to protect our senior citizens from scammers who foster relationships for financial gain. We will offer preventative measures and guidance to avoid losing your hard-earned money.
We at SES, envision a community where people come together to alleviate the stigma that a person is a willing participant in a scam when in reality, they are truly a victim of a scam.
